Psychotherapy for our human nature

Relational

We are relational beings, not healing or thriving in isolation. My experience living in Japan and training in forest bathing is infused into my therapy and my being. I invite you to connect with your senses, your body, and the present moment. I invite both sides of the brain into the room. I invite your past and future to meet you here.

We travel at a speed attuned to your nature. I use tools like somatic therapy, experiential therapy, archetypes and metaphor, and guided mindfulness to explore your relationship to Self, your surroundings, to healing and purpose, and to your loved ones.

Reverent

I have deep respect, awe, and admiration for humans doing the practice of really living this life. I honor all parts of your inner being: the rigid rock, the melancholy lake, the wild wind, and the raging rapids. Let's bring your nature into harmony with itself.

Through nervous system attunement, self-awareness, and pacing, we regard the body, mind, and spirit each as  important messengers.

Real

Here we are now; now we are here. Life and nature are always changing, and we can move through joy and pain in the course of a day. We practice what we need to and have some laughs and love along the way. "You feel grounded in the Earth." and "I can tell you anything." is feedback I receive often. I show up energized for brave exploration of the rocky path of being human.

Common Questions

Where are you located?

My office is in East Nashville on Gallatin Pike. I also see clients virtually.

What is your rate?

A standard Psychotherapy session is $150. Insurance is not accepted currently, though clients can attain a superbill for possible reimbursement upon request. There are a few sliding scale spots available.

How often should I go to therapy?

I believe weekly is the most beneficial cadence, especially when beginning. This establishes a relationship and workflow. Every client is different, however, and some choose a bi-weekly pacing.

Are you LGBTQ+ affirming?

Yes. Welcome, humans! I work with clients from various orientations, backgrounds, and relationship types.
